New legislation as of December 11, 2023, regarding certificates:
Before a certificate can be issued, the STUDENT must register for a Learner's Permit and add the Number to their file. If your LP# is not in your student file, this will delay the issuance of the certificate. Students will be reminded before they complete the course.
Costech Technologies, Inc. - is licensed by, the Department of Public Safety through the Driver Training Program Office, 1970 West Broad Street, Columbus, Ohio 43223.
A $99.00 registration fee for the course and an option to purchase audio for $9.95 will be charged to the STUDENT. This fee includes all required instructional materials and needs to be paid before course activation. If the student does not wish to purchase the audio, they MUST deactivate it on the Registration page. This course is valid for a period of 6 months. After 6 months, a reinstatement fee will be charged and the course will need to be re-started from the beginning. This is due to DPS regulation.
Costech Technologies, Inc., hereafter referred to as the COURSE PROVIDER, offers a course composed of 10 training modules spanning at least 24 hours of instruction. The course will be available to the STUDENT 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. However, your accessibility may be affected by, but not limited to: your Internet provider, your computer capability, firewall, browser settings, etc. which we cannot control. We do offer tech support to assist you in possibly solving these issues.
This course must be completed before the 6 months are up, from the first date of starting the first page of the Book/Course. After the 6 month period, if a student cannot complete, an extension can only be approved by the State (acceptable reasons: student has a learning disability or COVID - each must have documentation provided). If the State denies, then a reinstatement fee of $49.50 will be charged and the course will need to be restarted from the beginning.
** The timer on the Login page lets students know the number of days remaining to complete the course.
Each student will be asked at the time of registration to provide a Learner's Permit Number to ensure that they are living in Ohio and recognized by the State. The LP# (Learner's Permit Number) will be added to the Completion Certificate and verified by the License Bureau.
Students will have a choice of 3 questions, choose 1-word answers (if not pre-selected format). WRITE DOWN YOUR ANSWERS - If you misspell or can't answer, you will be locked out for 24 hrs.

( Monday- Friday 9 am - 6 pm)
Students can complete but not exceed four (4) hours in one calendar day. Students receiving more than two continuous hours of training will require a break of 15 minutes before continuing the course.
In the State of Ohio, as of May 1st, 2022, there will only be a Completion Certificate issued. The certificate can now be directly emailed to the Driving School or the Student's Email.
Please provide an email that will not be blocked (ie: .net or .com. A school email is prohibited as the server blocks all links and emails that are not approved).
The certificates are verified and issued by a person, not automated. The processing time takes 24-72 hours after your completion time (Monday to Friday).
The STUDENT agrees to complete all phases of the approved curriculum. The COURSE PROVIDER is prohibited from issuing a Certificate of Completion if the STUDENT has not met all the requirements for course completion, and a STUDENT shall not accept a certificate under such circumstances.
The student agrees to pay the administrative costs ($8 fee) for any duplicate certificates they request. Duplicates may be reproduced for corrections in addresses, name, date of birth, etc. The student is solely responsible for any errors in the personal information.
The STUDENT agrees that they may not be certified or given credit for the course unless they score 75% or higher on each Quiz and Test.
The student is permitted to take the Final exam only 3 times (all other quizzes and tests have no limit to retake). The student must wait for 24 hrs before being able to retake the Final exam again. If they fail 3 times, the student must retake the course again.
Alternative testing techniques for students with reading, hearing, or learning handicaps and policies for re-testing students who score less than 75% will be a: review of material b: translation, if necessary or possible, and c: re-testing, verbally if necessary.

For any student who has failed the Final Exam three (3) times.
All registration fees paid are due and refundable if the course of instruction is discontinued by Costech Technologies Inc., preventing a student from completing the course, or the enrollment of the student was procured as a result of any misrepresentation in advertising, promotional materials, or representation made by the owner or employee(s) of Costech Technologies Inc.

The COURSE PROVIDER prescribes minimum hardware and software requirements for completing the course.
Android Users:
To run a new Android app built with Angular and Ionic, the mobile hardware must meet certain requirements to ensure smooth performance and compatibility. Here are the general hardware requirements:
Operating System: The device should run on Android 5.0 (Lollipop) or higher.
CPU: The device should have at least a quad-core processor. A newer device with an octa-core processor or better will provide smoother performance.
RAM: A minimum of 2GB of RAM is recommended. However, for better performance, especially with more complex applications, 4GB or more is preferable.
Storage: The app itself will need space, but ensure there is sufficient storage for app data and cache. A device with at least 16GB of internal storage is recommended, though 32GB or more is better.
Screen Resolution: The device should support at least a 720p resolution (1280x720). Full HD (1920x1080) or higher resolutions will provide a better user experience.
Connectivity: The device should have active internet connectivity (Wi-Fi or cellular data) for apps that require real-time data.
Battery: A device with a large battery capacity is preferable to ensure long usage times, especially when location services are being used, which can drain the battery quickly.
Apple Users:
To run a new iOS app built with Angular and Ionic, the iOS device should meet certain hardware and software requirements to ensure optimal performance and compatibility. Here are the general requirements for an iOS device:
Operating System: The device should run on iOS 11.0 or higher. However, targeting iOS 13.0 or higher is advisable for better performance and access to newer features.
Device Compatibility: The app should be compatible with the following devices:
iPhone 6s and newer models
iPad Air 2 and newer models
iPad mini 4 and newer models
iPad Pro (all models)
CPU: The device should have an Apple A9 chip or newer. Newer models with A12 Bionic chip or better will provide smoother performance.
RAM: A minimum of 2GB of RAM is recommended. However, for better performance, especially with more complex applications, 3GB or more is preferable.
Storage: The app itself will need space, but ensure there is sufficient storage for app data and cache. A device with at least 16GB of internal storage is recommended, though 32GB or more is better.
Screen Resolution: The device should support at least a Retina display. Higher resolutions (e.g., 750 x 1334 pixels for iPhone 6/6s/7/8) will provide a better user experience.
Connectivity: The device should have active internet connectivity (Wi-Fi or cellular data) for apps that require real-time data.
Battery: A device with a large battery capacity is preferable to ensure long usage times, especially when location services are being used, which can drain the battery quickly.
Development and Testing: To ensure compatibility and performance, testing the app on multiple devices and iOS versions is crucial.
